This case study aims to underline a remarkable team effort: Elcos was chosen to provide 6 generating sets for a total of 6000 kVA, in a medium voltage parallel system.
This project, for a cement factory in Africa, was a great success for Elcos. The Medium voltage power plant was realized to guarantee the correct operating of the system in extreme weather conditions.
These power generators are in 6 Container 40’HC, with air ventilation and smoke detection system.
The medium Voltage plant is complete with 1000 lt fuel tank and step-up transformer in “eco-design” oil that guarantees a noise level equal to 65dBA @ 7mt at full load.
Furthermore, 3 20’HC Container are provided, suitable to allow a 15.000 lt fuel tank: every container will feed two generating sets for the MV parallel system.
Perkins provided 6 engines, type 4012-46TWG2A EU Stage I, equipped with electronic speed governor, and Stamford provided the brushless alternators with AVR.
With this installation, Elcos confirms its full intention to continue and expand the sales of self-production medium voltage power plants.
This gathered experience allows us to approach complex engineering plants that hold technical challenges with the right confidence and skills. Elcos claims to be a loyal and reliable partner in the MV generating sets process
